I got to know Bill as I started working in the SEO industry, in 2005. There was not much SEO resources at the time, Cre8asite Forums was one of them and it was frankly the top location to gain more insights in how search engines work and also: the best place to exchange with some of the most humble and smartest folks in the web marketing industry at that time, and still today.

Bill was one of them. I learned SEO by being trained by colleagues and bosses, and through the different sites I worked on, but the best knowledge and advice that I received came from Bill. He shared a ton of insights and tips on how to approach SEO for any kind of websites, all of that thanks to the hours he spent going through patents. Bill had nothing to gain by doing so, he just did that because he's one of the kindest people in the industry and wanted to democratize search engine algorithms for everyone.

I am so thankful to him, because he made me understand how Google and other search engines operate, and evolve through time, in no better way than anyone one could.

I wish Bill a speedy recovery, hoping he will be able to soon walk on the coast-side of South California that he enjoys so much. That's where I got to meet him in person a few years ago and it was truly a pleasure for me. Get better really soon, my dear friend!
