Bill's a great guy, intelligent and curious. When I all but gave up reading SEO blogs due to amount of echo-chamber-ego SEO by the Sea was one the very few I kept.

The work Bill puts into keeping up with patients, thinking about them, and then writing them up as helped me tremendously. He picks links implications together, from one patent to a second or third, and helps me - helps the whole industry - see the pattern.

I've never met Bill in person. I'm not an extroverted guy, I don't go to SEO meet-ups, buy beers, get to know people or engage in any networking. Bill doesn't care, he gives me the time of day based solely on whether what I've written about or tweeted is worthy of a comment. We need more Bills.
