Bill,
I have been doing SEO for the last 13 years. I began my SEO journey from reading an SEO book and optimising my small online business. As a result, I got my first SEO role at one of London's SEO agencies (The Search Works) and this is where I discovered SEO by the Sea and when my real SEO adventure started!

I fell in love with your blog and was studying every post going back to 2005:) I found your patent analysis and explanation fascinating and wanted to understand every piece of it. I spent weeks to go through it all.
Years later, I still believe that the time I spent on reading your articles and making effort to understand the core of some of those patents were the most valuable SEO lessons I took in my career. I very often catch myself on quoting you in meetings, it's like having an invisible mentor! I would like to thank you for helping me/us understand all those jargons and complexity around Google's developments within the search. I know that without you and SEO by the Sea I wouldn't be where I am now, so thank you.

Bill, we are all devastated to hear that you are not well. I hope you feel better soon!
Wishing you a speedy recovery and selfishly, hoping to read your next blog post again soon...
With you on this break, "the SEO profession's quality score" is sinking;) Come back! We need you!
Mags, x
