I met Bill at Pubcon a while back at Pubcon during a dinner that Dave Snyder had put together. He shared with me his story about how he ended up working in search and why he is so damn brilliant at researching patents. I was fascinated.
Since then he's always been so open and eager to discuss SEO with me. I had one chat in particular with him that gave me some interesting perspective into the future of search, and how to move away from being too focused on keywords when developing content strategies. The conversation was about a near-future where we might not even use keywords to search, and it really opened up my mind about how to put content together. It was shortly after that I decided I wanted to shift away from doing only technical SEO and focus more on the content side of things (without forgetting the technical aspect, of course).
As a side note, I always love the pics of flowers Bill posts. It brightens my day to see them since they are so different than any of the flowers I see where I live.
